01:43 pm - What have I been up to?
Hey everyone!

I haven't been posting much recently but there has been a lot going on. I've been busy all weekend, for once. lol

Thursday was full of driving (to get my textbooks) and studying. So to keep myself entertained I started watching Lost: Season 1 on Netflix. I remember both Yaya and Brian saying how good the show was so I gave it a shot. At first I was like I dunno...but by the end of the season (that's right, I already finished it) I was OMG OMG what happened?! Where's the next one?! Haha, so now I have a new addiction and four more seasons to go! So thanks for the suggestion you guys! Another friend tells me Supernatural is good, so I might check that out next.

Friday I went with

reannaremick and Randi to a couple of bakeries where we scoped out some eye candy and yummy pastries! xD We met up with Meg at the Bento Cafe for more good time and yummy food. lol It was cool meeting her and it's funny cause she's currently working in the same field I will be when I graduate in the spring. Small world!

Saturday was pretty much school day. I was in class for the majority of it (8:30 - 4:00) but it went well...just slow and booooring. Twitter and messaging was the only thing keeping me awake and that's sad. Anyway, I didn't go out for Halloween. I stayed in, killed zombies with some friends, and watched scary movies with

rynnukikamitsu . FYI, Serpent and the Rainbow is weeeeeird!

Today (Sunday) I'm already off to a good start! I've completed the reading for one of my classes and already took the quiz. After I finish the reading for the other class, I'm calling it quits today for school stuff. Next on the agenda, is back to cosplay (now that things are settling down). I got some nice brown vinyl from Reanna the other day so I'm going to use it to start making holsters for Sheva. I'm all kinds of hyped up about the costume now because I've been playing the game. I'm hoping to get it done within the next few weeks here. I know I could just buy holsters but I want to give making them a shot because the design really isn't that complex. Also, I'll be working on the website, which is coming along nicely. I showed a couple of screenshots to

livvylove , but I think a lot still needs to be done IMO before I begin posting progress here.

Anyway, back to work!

And definitely super early but I have a group cosplay that I want to do for next year's Dragon Con! I'd love it if any of you guys would like to join me. Guys and girls are both welcome of course!

That's right! Cobra Kai! I'm kicking it old school. The costumes are super easy to make and comfy to walk around in. Plus I just think it would be amusing and fun. Any takers?? ¬_¬

10:40 am - Cons and Cosplays and Stuff!
Hey guys, are any of you going to Atlanta Anime Day? It's happening on November 28 (one day con) and it's only $3.00!
I plan on going, at least to check it out. Everyone seems to have had fun a the last one so I figure I'd give it a shot. As for cosplay...Macross Anyone? ;D

I have decided to use the rest of this year to finish up my "in progress" cosplays and there are quite a few. I'm hoping to knock out at least one of them this week. The costume I'm currently working on is about 50% complete and I could probably finish the majority of it in a day but I have school stuff to finish up first. Probably won't be posting photos because a certain Cow Cow has my charger. Who knows I might try to take some craptastic cell phone pics. lol

Speaking of school, the cosplay site is coming along nicely so far. There's still a bunch of stuff I want to change (and I will later) but I have to meet the requirements and such. That means including features that really have no purpose on my site. ^_^; I'm loving my color scheme though, and no it's not pink. lol

I most likely won't be attending Anime South this year (unless something changes) so the next big cons I'm planning for are Katsucon/ Megacon. I'm hoping to have my Resident Evil costume done as well as a few others which I'll keep under wraps for now.

I will not be attending AWA this year. Can't really afford what I wanted to do and it's just not all that important to me. Plus, I've been doing a lot of thinking in general and I have mixed feelings about it. In other words been there, done that, moving on. ^_~

As for my next con, I'm debating :

EXP Con: www.expcon.org/ (Oct. 9-11)
- This one is located in Florida but I've never been and actually care to see a couple of the guests. I'd like to try doing a panel here as well, but we'll see what happens! :D

-OR-

Spooky Empires Ultimate Horror Weekend: www.spookyempire.com/ (Also Oct. 9-11)
- Which is basically a horror movie con with tons of awesome guests! I love scary movies so this sounds like a lot of fun too!

Decisions! Decisions! >_< Anyone have input on either of these?

My next cosplay depends on which con I go to. EXP Con will be from anime of course (possibly Michiko), and Horror Weekend I'll most likely take a Resident Evil cosplay.

Anime USA is still on the roster for me as of now. It's not until November so that could change, but if not, I should have all new cosplays for that one.

Outside of cosplay I'm still working at my degree. I should be done in the spring so I'm excited about that..Maybe I'm just a dork, but I'm loving my classes right now. I love to learn new things because it makes me feel all accomplished! xDD My project for this session is to create an actual web page. I'm thinking of using this opportunity to create my cosplay page (finally!). I have plenty of pictures now to play around with so it should be fun! If I do create a cosplay page, I'll post progress of it here. ^____^

Btw- I want to say thanks again (for you guys that aren't on my facebook) to those of you who took the time to send me a birthday greeting. It meant a lot and I appreciate you thinking of me! <3

10:20 pm - Jumping on the Dragon*Con Bandwagon!
One more day guys! Dragon*Con is almost here. I'm still in the sweatshop trying to finish everything in time. I definitely won't be getting sleep tonight, but it will be worth it! I still have to pack and finish up things.

Still making accessories and such for my Dawn costume. I took the hardcore route constructed my first corset ever thanks to Yaya's help! (Yay! ♥) I was going to take photos of it, but I have too many other things to get done so, you'll have to come to the contest to see it. ;p

I'm really looking forward to the contest this year and seeing all the great ideas, and designs my friends came up with!
Everyone is so creative! ♥

Anyhow, here's my costume list in no particular order:

I have a question for everyone. I"m working on my Villetta cosplay and I can't decide on the hair color. I'm thinking of keeping my wig the color it is already, but I was wondering what you all think? The color varies depending on where the artwork comes from as you can see here:

Here's a shot of the wig I'll be using. I took one with and one without the flash.

Should I keep it the way it is or dye it? And if I dye it, should I go a darker shade of grey or should I add teal to it?

02:59 am - Bonne Jenet Complete!
It only took about 4 or 5 days I think? I'm happy with how it turned out.

I'm not so happy with how it looks blue in the photos when it's actually purple. Stupid camera.. ¬_¬
Although you can't really see it in this photo, the lining is actually there as well and it makes an awesome contrast with the purple. <3 It was also my first attempt with embroidering and I like how it turned out. Of course I'm replacing the gloves because I'm too tired to make them. lol OH! And I love my shoes! ...Just wish they showed up in the photos. >_<

So far so good! Still much to do before Otakon. Next up is Villetta. I already have all of the materials so I'm hoping to be completed by the end of next week. Tomorrow is another day in the sweatshop!

Whenever I'm out and about and I see something funny I usually take pictures of it with my camera phone. Why? Because sometimes it's so out there I need PROOF! I know I'm "creative" and I know I'm silly, but some stuff you just can't make up. o_o
